Hello - I have a 1998 Cessna 182 in partnership at SBP. It is tied down near the fire station (slot M6).
My partner is moving away, and I am looking for a new partner. The plane has about 4000 total, with
1000 on a factory reman engine. King stack, KLN 94 color GPS, altitude hold, and oxygen.
We currently pay $68/hr wet. Our monthly fixed costs are about $1000, including a loan balance of
$100,000. Plane is worth about $180k, and the departing partner wants $40k for his equity. We can
finance this a number of ways. I could even consider a rental only partner, in the $150/hr range.
We have been averaging about 15 hrs/mo. We both got our IFR in the plane over the last few years.
Lately it has been a travel plane, to Vegas, Phoenix, or Sacramento. Next week, it goes to Florida
for Sun & Fun.
I care more about a new partner's safety orientation than I do hours. Coastal Air Maintenance has
done all the annuals since purchase (2000) including the engine replacement. Talk to Bret about
it. Prior to us, it was owned by the state police, and run to 2000 hrs then replaced (must be nice)
